Survey of Existing Conditions

Acrymax conducts general surveys of the existing conditions of a roof or structure to determine if the project is suitable for an Acrymax coating system. These surveys are usually visual only but may include core cuts of an existing roof system to determine moisture content and to determine the number of roofs on the structure.

Progress Inspections

Up to 75% of all coating failures are attributable to deficient surface preparation and/or improper application of the coatings. Preparation is critically important to successful coating projects. Periodic inspections including after preparation and during the installation of the coating help assure you that proper procedures are followed and that the Acrymax coating system is applied according to specification.

With Wet Film Thickness Testing, we can accurately measure coating thickness and ensure consistent quality control. This method is also useful for identifying areas where improvements are needed,

With our extensive experience in working with coating contractors, we have been able to deliver more cost-efficient and sustainable solutions for facilities managers and building owners. By providing vital oversight and guidance, we help ensure that our coatings are applied correctly according to Acrymax and industry standards. This not only helps extend the lifespan of coatings but also reduces the risk of premature failure and the need for costly repairs.

Final Inspections

Final coating inspection services are a commonly requested quality assurance evaluation used when a coating system has been applied to a roof, wall, or another part of a building structure. Dry film thickness, uniformity of coating application. Any application defects are identified and added to a punch list for correction.

Annual Inspections

Your structure is under relentless attack from rain, snow, hail, sun, chemicals, and a myriad of other forces that are all working against your building and damaging your investment. Small problems or damage when ignored can soon cause big leak problems or coating failure that can lead to damage to your building. Proper inspections and a proactive approach to maintenance can add years to the life of a coating system. At least two inspections of a roof should be done each year. Ideally, one inspection is done in the spring to check for damage that may have occurred during the winter, while the other roof inspection is done in the fall to make sure that the roof is in good condition for the coming winter. Inspections should also be done after any unusual occurrence such as a severe storm or construction activities on the roof.

Costs for Inspections

Initial roofing and coating project condition surveys are offered at no charge. Other inspection services are billed at an hourly rate or on a negotiated fee basis. Contact us for additional information.

To qualify for a labor and material warranty a project must be pre-approved by Acrymax. At minimum, a final mandatory inspection of the project at completion of the project is required. Additional interim inspections may also be required. Complete and thorough documentation of a warrantied project must be submitted to Acrymax including job logs and photos of all stages of the project.
