In the Fall of 2015, the Horace Furness High School received an Acrymax HP-1 Fully Reinforced Coating System that preserved its existing standing seam and flat seam metal roofs. This is a fluid applied coating system that provides a 45 mil fully reinforced elastomeric membrane system. The primary components in this system were Acrymax’s Elastomeric Coatings w/ Recycled Content.
Upon completion, the Horace Furness High school received a water tight roof that will be easy to maintain in the future. We were able to assist in saving this historic roof while providing the school district with tremendous cost savings over alternatives all while using recycled content products to do it – What is more sustainable than that!!
The coating work was completed by Sioutis Coating Enterprise as a sub-contractor for Ganter Contractors, Inc. The specification was written by Vitetta with consultation work from Steve McLaughlin Roofing Consultant
